Music education has been of concern to me for a pretty long time and I fortunately have had the opportunity to actually work as a music teacher in several music institutes since 2011.
Pedagogically I have never been really satisfied with the common methods of representing music theory and harmony. I honestly have always believed we as music educators can definitely discover or create much more sufficient systems in order to groom real creative musicians; and by that, I mean musicians who can effectively feel free to compose and develop their own musical ideas, not eventually after they have mastered the interpretation and analysis of the great musicians, but immediately after learning the fundamentals on how to play their instrument along with the first steps in music theory.
In fact, I assume my students to become artists with even unique innovative ideas about the whole concept of working with pitches, rests, rhythms etc. as musical elements.
In 2017 and in the absence of such Persian online tutorials and music instructional materials, I decided to start Sharveh Music Academy to not only provide free downloadable music lessons but also offer online classes on piano, vocals, music theory, songwriting and improvisation.
My free video lessons are available on the academy’s YouTube channel and Instagram account and could be easily found by the links bellow:
